Beware! Let’s Make Plans
As you probably know and may have experienced by now, drug stores primarily in the black and brown communities are closing their doors. Walgreens and CVS stores have started to execute a 3-year plan to close all their stores in Illinois. To date, we have listed the stores we are aware of that have closed [see list below].
Several doctor’s offices and clinics have already enrolled their patients to start receiving medications by mail. However, in the long run, the postal service will become overwhelmed, and a critical problem may occur when medications are NOT received in a timely manner!
This is the time to talk with your doctor and create a back-up plan in the event you may need medication sooner than the 7-10 business days most mail order subscriptions are being received at this time.
We highly suggest you stay informed and hope you stay well!
